Kyren Wilson celebrated with his family at the Crucible after winning his first World Snooker Championship title on Monday.
Wilson defeated Jak Jones 18-14, withstanding a fight back from his opponent to lift the crown.
His family came to celebrate with him, but fans quickly noticed the heartwarming thing one of his son’s did.
Bailey Wilson went over to Jones and shook his hand.
One person wrote on social media: Nice moment as Kyren Wilson’s son Bailey ran over to shake hands with Jak Jones amid the celebrations.”
Another added: “Moment of the final definitely Kyren Wilson’s son shaking Jak Jones’ hand. Really touching.”
A third said: “Fantastic seeing Kyren Wilson winning the World Snooker Championship and special to see Kyren’s young son go over to shake Jak Jones hand and what a gracious runner up Jak Jones is.”
Wilson emerged from his most difficult year in a decade to lift the famous silver trophy with his wife Sophie and young sons Bailey and Finley looking on.
The 12th seed had reached a solitary semi-final at the German Masters this year, but it was put in sharp perspective by his wife being diagnosed with epilepsy, while Bailey suffered with illness and also needed an operation on a broken nose.
“It was so nice to have all the family there and let out our emotions,” said Wilson.
“We’ve been on a roller coaster journey since the age of six. We’ve sacrificed everything all together and this is just a lovely thing to be able to celebrate with them now.”
