WWE has unveiled new World Tag Team title belts, and crowned new number one contenders to the championships.
Former Raw Tag Team Champions The Miz & R-Truth were presented with new title belts in an in-ring ceremony on Monday’s Raw by on-screen authority figure Adam Pearce & WWE CCO Paul “Triple H” Levesque. Miz & R-Truth won the Raw Tag titles at WrestleMania 40 in a ladder match that saw Grayson Waller & Austin Theory grab the SmackDown Tag titles, splitting the once Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship into two distinct titles again.
Triple H announced the renaming of the titles, presented the champions with their new belts, then Pearce announced a triple threat number one contenders match for the World Tag Team Championship.
