Thierry Henry was left aghast by Kate Abdo’s introduction for Micah Richards during CBS Sports’ Champions League final coverage.
The trio were joined by Jamie Carragher to form their iconic quartet at Wembley to watch Borussia Dortmund face Real Madrid, which is live on talkSPORT.
Fans have been treated to humour and entertainment throughout the whole season by CBS Sports Golazo, with Abdo’s introductions a mainstay.
And to mark the end of the season at the Champions League’s showcase event, she opted for some special words for her colleagues.
Abdo lauded Henry as a ‘legendary forward’ and mentioned his upcoming role as head coach of the France Olympic football team at this summer’s games in Paris.
Carragher was named as a ‘Merseyside icon’ and reminded of his role in the ‘Miracle of Istanbul’ when Liverpool won the 2005 Champions League final have been 3-0 down at half time against AC Milan.

When it came to Richards, he too was given praise by Abdo before she then opted for some cheeky humour at his expense.
“And the man who burst onto the scene as a player but in his second act, well, he’s taken sports television by storm as well,” Abdo said.
“Now working his fifth Champions League final, equalling his career total games played in this competition, Big Meeks, Micah Richards!”
Henry was left in shock and his jaw visibly dropped in response, with Carragher bursting into laughter whilst Richards hung his head.
The former Manchester City defender took it well though and with a smile back on his face, he joked: “It started so well.”
Ahead of kick-off in London, Carragher revived his allegiance with the Dortmund fans by drinking beer with them in the English capital.
His previous encounter with the German supporters led to a viral clip of his apparent inebriation in a hilarious interview after claiming to have had eight pints at their semi-final home clash against Paris Saint-Germain.
Carragher wore a Dortmund scarf around his neck when sitting with his CBS Sports colleagues as the excitement ahead of kick-off built up.
Record-winners Madrid are chasing their 15th title in the competition, with Dortmund seeking their first triumph since 1997.
