Jude Bellingham has got England fans singing his praises after showing off an impressive skill in training.
The Real Madrid midfield star is currently preparing for England’s opening game of their Euro 2024 campaign against Serbia on Sunday 16 June, live on talkSPORT from 8pm.
And the Three Lions are deep in preparation, with manager Gareth Southgate seen getting the squad involved in a possession drill at their training camp in Blankenhain in the latest video posted by England Football on X.
The drill sees the side split into two teams, as they try to target some extremely narrow goals at the end of the pitch.
Unsurprisingly, Bellingham takes to the drill very well indeed.
Despite receiving the ball from Eberechi Eze in a tight area flooded with defenders, he is seen taking a smooth touch to get himself into space.
Still with his back to the (very small) goal and facing pressure from his defence, some might have expected him to look to his teammates for support – but Bellingham has other ideas.
The youngster soon proves exactly what the hype is about as he skillfully dispatches the ball past Kyle Walker and into the back off the net with a neat backheel.
As he wheels away in celebration, he is joined by teammate Aaron Ramsdale who jumps onto the midfielder’s back in jubilation.
England Football posted the video along with the caption ‘Stop that @BellinghamJude’.
And his sensational display has got England fans all fired up for the upcoming tournament, with some even predicting tournament glory off the back of Bellingham’s skills.
One supporter wrote on X: “We going for the trophy.”
Another added: “The best we will ever see!”
Meanwhile, a third simply commented: “Baller.”
Bellingham is widely expected to start in England’s opener, with the midfielder having scored 23 times in 42 appearances for his club last season as Real Madrid stormed to victory in La Liga, the Champions League and the Supercopa.
And Three Lions fans will be absolutely desperate for Bellingham to pull out more moves like this as they look to bring down the curtain on their many years of major tournament heartbreak.
Serbia vs England is live on talkSPORT on Sunday 16 June from 8pm.
