Alejandro Garnacho got reined in by Manchester United teammate Lisandro Martinez for over-celebrating in the FA Cup final win over Man City.
United took a shock lead through Garnacho after a defensive mix-up between Josko Gvardiol and Stefan Ortega, giving the Argentina international a tap-in.
Garnacho celebrated by kissing the badge in front of the Manchester City fans at Wembley and that appeared to irk his countryman and teammate Martinez.
The defender roped Garnacho in and pulled him back into position and fans loved him showing his leadership.
One fan wrote: “Loved seeing Martinez push Garnacho back after he celebrated!!! Back to focus!!!”
Another said: “Lisandro Martinez takes Garnacho by the collar after scoring into an empty net following an assist from an opponent… Mentality.”
This supporter said: “Love how Martinez shoved Garnacho back down to earth. This isn’t over.”
A fourth put: “Best thing about the goal Martinez telling Garnacho to crack on. Proper leader.”!
Moments later, Kobbie Mainoo doubled the lead, sending United fans into pandemonium, not least to see two teenagers from their academy step up and score at Wembley.
It is the first time that two teenagers have scored in the FA Cup final, with the two 19-year-old’s the first United teens to net in the final since Norman Whiteside in 1983.
Jeremy Doku pulled one back but United prevailed 2-1 winners to stun their local rivals.
United have sorely missed Martinez at the back, who has played just 11 times in the Premier League this season due to injury.
He has only just returned from injury, having played a total of 66 minutes in the last two matches against Newcastle and Brighton.
But Erik ten Hag trusted the World Cup winner to start on Saturday and that proved to be a great decision with City stifled by the defender fans lovingly call ‘The Butcher’.
United went on to win the FA Cup by beating City 2-1, with Jeremy Doku’s late strike ending up being nothing more than a consolation.
