For the first time, it will be an all-British front-row for a sprint race as Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton will lead the field to green for the Chinese Grand Prix event on Saturday morning.
Getting underway at 4am UK time, the sprint follows on from a fiery, icy and all-around chaotic shootout which ended with Norris taking P1 in bizarre circumstances.
He originally lost the pole lap due to exceeding track limits which appeared to hand Hamilton pole but in the dying seconds, Norris’s lap was reinstated as rain battered Shanghai.
It all came minutes after the grass caught fire at the side of the track for a SECOND time, due to sparks from the cars skid blocks combusting the grass.
