Oscar De La Hoya was less than impressed by Eddie Hearn’s pad work.
Hearn showed off his boxing skills while filming an advert to announce Matchroom’s official water partner, Drip – the new canned mineral water, launched by British rapper Big Zuu.
The viral video shows Zuu and Hearn getting into an altercation on the streets, before duking it out in a mock fight.
While on set for the production, Hearn was taken on the pads and looked pretty sharp for a man of his age.
However, De La Hoya, unimpressed by what he was watching, took the opportunity to throw shade on his promotional rival.
Commenting on the video, he wrote: “Hahah ‘silver spoon’ Eddie,” accompanied by two laughing emojis.
Hearn and De La Hoya were forced into an uneasy alliance last week during the build-up for Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia.
De La Hoya’s promotional outfit Golden Boy represents Garcia and staged the event.
Meanwhile, Hearn had been brought on board by Haney as part of his team having previously promoted several of his fights.
After Haney fell to defeat at the hands of Garcia, Hearn took to social media to share his commiserations with ‘The Dream’.
“The road is long. This young man will be back stronger than ever! @RealDevinHaney,” he captioned a photo of himself and Haney together.
Underneath the post, De La Hoya left a scathing comment.
“You obviously never laced up the gloves,” he wrote. “Just like Don King and the rest.
“You don’t know what it’s like to fight inside a ring. Guess what? I do, and that beating will last for a while.”
Hearn’s next Instagram post came after the press conference announcing Terence Crawford vs Israil Madrimov on Wednesday.
Again, De La Hoya left a comment: “Eddie, for the sake of British Boxing just stay in the UK and promote, leave the real promoters to the US market where boxing matters.
“You had your opportunity wasting away hundreds of millions of dollars building nothing in the US.”
This time, Hearn fired back: “@OscarDeLaHoya genuinely are you ok? You stalk me like a crazed fan.
“You had a great win on Saturday yet I consume your mind 24/7.
“Unfortunately for you, I am a global promoter with 18 world Champions (you have four).
“I have big plans to work with everyone to grow the sport globally and have some fantastic talent in the US market.
“Genuinely wish you all the best and hope you can enjoy what you do.”
