The schedule for the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs is here.
The NHL announced the dates for each first-round matchup after the final games of the regular season on Thursday. Times were also announced for Games 1 through 4 in each series, with Games 5 through 7 to be decided if necessary.

Carolina Hurricanes (M2) vs. New York Islanders (M3)
The Hurricanes finished three points short of the Presidents’ Trophy, but they have home ice as the No. 2 Metropolitan seed against the No. 3 Islanders. It’s a rematch of last year’s first-round matchup when Carolina eliminated the Isles in six games. They split the season series 2-2, with each squad getting one win in overtime.

Boston Bruins (A2) vs. Toronto Maple Leafs (A3)
These foes have faced off in the playoffs three times in the last 11 years, with the Bruins advancing each time. The Bruins swept the season series 4-0, and they have home-ice advantage being in the Atlantic Division’s second seed compared to Toronto’s No. 3 seed.

Florida Panthers (A1) vs. Tampa Bay Lightning (WC1)

Dallas Stars (C1) vs. Vegas Golden Knights (WC2)
In a rematch of the 2023 Western Conference final, Dallas looks to avenge its loss to the eventual Stanley Cup champions as they meet in the first round this time. The Golden Knights swept the season series 3-0, with one game decided in overtime and another in a shootout.

This is the first time the Jets and Avalanche face off against each other in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Winnipeg won all three games against Colorado this season, and they enter the post-season on an eight-game winning streak while the Avalanche are 4-4-2 in their last 10.
