Rey Fenix is injured yet again.
Fenix was slated to wrestle his brother Penta El Zero Miedo at House of Glory’s Cinco de Mayo event on Sunday. However, Penta came to the ring during the show and announced that Fenix was not medically cleared to compete and as a result, the match was off. Penta instead wrestled Laredo Kid in the main event.

After spending months on the shelf due to injury, Fenix made his AEW return on last week’s Collision, defeating The Beast Mortos (Black Taurus). It had been his first match since October 10, 2023, when he dropped the AEW International title to Orange Cassidy on an episode of Dynamite.
Signs of Fenix’s return began when he was advertised for the House of Glory event. He previously said he had been out of action over what he called an ‘old injury’, saying it had been bothering him since AEW’s Grand Slam stadium show in September.
