Francis Bourgeois and Jesse Lingard are unlikely friends, but it turns out the pair have more in common than both being big on TikTok.
The Nottingham Forest star joined the famous trainspotter on his new show, and viewers have been touched by one of the clips that shows the fair sharing a tearful moment.
Social media went wild for the eccentric Bourgeois last year, after he posted a video of himself losing his mind watching trains go through Gatwick Airport railway station.
Now the TikTok sensation and Gucci model has his own show on Channel 4’s YouTube channel in which he takes celebrities on his trainspotting expeditions.
First up in the 22-year-old’s series is ex-Manchester United star turned Nottingham Forest forward Lingard, who was part of his side’s shock victory over Liverpool last weekend.
Taking the footballer to his home town of Warrington just outside Manchester, the pair visit the local station, as well as Lingard’s old stomping grounds like his local five-a-side pitch.
Bourgeois even has a go at taking some shots on goal with Lingard, with them both wearing the TikToker’s iconic go pros, as the pair compare the feeling of joy they both get from their respective hobbies.
But for all their fun across the 11 minute episode, Lingard and Bourgeois end up having two unexpected heart-to-hearts.
Lingard had some words of advice as Bourgeois opened up to him about the hate he receives from his own community as some believe he’s only doing it for the fame.
After stepping out of a train carriage with Lingard, Bourgeois says to the Forest star: “I’ve gone in here a bit because I’m well aware that there’s people in there that really don’t like me.
“It’s something I find quite weird to think that in my own community are people that don’t like me the most.”
When asked by Lingard if he cared about people disliking him, Bourgeois replied: “I like to make everyone feel good so it’s a bit sort of disheartening sometimes.
“People just think I’m faking my enthusiasm.”
“But that’s just you being you though,” Lingard replies as he tries to comfort the star.
“That’s how you are, that’s you.”
Then, after the pair get off the train, Bourgeois wells up in another even more heart-warming moment.
Despite being worried about the fellow passengers potential negative comments, the star was then greeted with cheers and words of praise from passengers as the train pulled away, much to the trainspotter’s surprise.
“It’s actually made me feel a bit emotional,” he says with tears in his eyes.
“I told you, they love you, mate,” Lingard says as he puts his arms round him.
He continued: “Don’t cry! I told you, positivity outweighs negativity, you’ll be fine.
“I told you, you’re loved.”
Long live the JLingz Bourgeois bromance.
