WWE star Tony D’Angelo has addressed his and his Family’s actions on this week’s (May 7) edition of NXT.
During Tuesday’s show, Charlie Dempsey accepted D’Angelo’s challenge for a Heritage Cup Championship match.
Dempsey pointed out that the No Quarter Catch Crew will defend the gold under “Catch Rules”. Similar to the Freebird Rule, this means that any member of Dempsey’s faction can defend the gold.
While it initially looked like D’Angelo wouldn’t know his upcoming opponent, the D’Angelo family attacked and kidnapped Dempsey’s teammates Damon Kemp and Myles Borne, leaving Dempsey as the sole member of the group able to defend the Heritage Cup.
NXT General Manager Ava took to Twitter to question D’Angelo following this cliffhanger.
D’Angelo replied:
I don’t know nothin about nothin.
Charlie Dempsey won the Heritage Cup from Noam Dar on the February 27 edition of NXT.
D’Angelo notably challenged for Ilja Dragunov’s NXT Championship at the NXT Stand & Deliver premium live event in April.
Dragunov later dropped the title to Trick Williams at the NXT Spring Breakin’ special.
Williams has now reacted to Sexyy Red commenting on his appearance on this week’s edition of NXT, which you can read more about right here.
