Wrexham have returned to Las Vegas for their biggest promotion party yet.
The League Two runners up have gone up two seasons in a row, earning themselves a spot in English football’s third tier for the first time in 15 years next term.
Despite not sealing the league title this time out like last year thanks to former National League foes Stockport County, Wrexham’s players have been rewarded with a trip to Sin City once again.
And as the third season of ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ dropped in the UK, the club’s owners, actors Rob McElhenney and Ryan Reynolds, made sure their stars were treated like VIPs in one of the city’s best restaurants and nightclubs, Hakkasan.
Hakkasan is not only Las Vegas’ biggest club, but the largest in the whole of the United States – and Wrexham were front of centre of it on Thursday evening.
Clips posted on Instagram show the League One new boys being welcomed into a VIP area of the club to the song ‘Wrexham FC, red army’ over the speakers.
This happened all while someone waved a huge Welsh flag and clips of their season’s highlights played on screen.
Any Hakkasan goers with no concept of EFL football were probably slightly confused at this point.
But Wrexham’s players didn’t seem to care, as they all sung along and jumped up and down together in a huddle.
Players including James McClean posted snaps on their Instagram’s of the evening too, uploading group photos of them after just enjoying their Michelin star food.
After storming to the National League last term, Wrexham’s players were treated to a trip to Las Vegas too, also going to the Hakkasan and plenty of pool parties.
This time round, Wrexham’s owners joked their players probably needed a meditation retreat to celebrate this year’s promotion after last summer’s antics.
It looks like their arms got twisted in the end though!
Wrexham also revealed their released and retained list on Friday, confirming club captain Luke Young would be departing.
