Argentina and Netherlands became the first teams to qualify for the 2022 World Cup quarterfinals with wins on Saturday in the Round of 16. The quarterfinal stage always brings plenty of drama, with eight of the best teams in the world looking to advance to the semifinals and potentially, we will see a big upset or two in this round.
The conclusion of the Round of 16 will bring us the first off days for the 2022 World Cup, with Wednesday and Thursday having no matches. The quarterfinals are also the last days of having multiple games per day, with the semifinals being held on separate days.
