The Masters is finally here and the world’s best golf stars will be eyeing glory and a healthy paycheck at Augusta National this week.
Tiger Woods will be playing in the iconic tournament for the 26th time while Rory McIlroy and Scottie Scheffler are among those aiming for the Green Jacket.
Jon Rahm is also in action as he aims to win back-to-back titles and get his hands on an incredible amount of money.
He secured a huge payday in 2023, but what will the winner of this year’s tournament collect? talkSPORT.com takes a look…
The Masters: Prize money
The prize money for the 2024 Masters is yet to be confirmed.
However, it is expected to be the same as last year’s tournament.
That purse was the highest ever seen at Augusta, with the field playing for a cut of $18million (£14.5m).
For winning the Masters in 2023, Rahm received a total of $3.24m.
Brooks Koepka and Phil Mickelson tied for second place and claimed $1.94million.
Those winnings are set to be the same this year, with third place picking up $1.22million.
The action will get started on Thursday and run until Sunday evening when the newest Masters champion will be crowned.
Woods believes he can win ‘one more’ green jacket this week but it’s World No 1 Scheffler who will be the player to beat.
He is the massive favourite to claim the huge prize money for the second time after winning $2.7million for coming out on top at Augusta in 2022.
