The Valero Texas Open serves as the warm-up act to upcoming Masters this weekend and Rory McIlroy headlines the field at TPC San Antonio.

McIlroy is playing in San Antonio and is hoping for a big week before beginning his latest shot at Masters and Grand Slam glory.
Canada’s Corey Conners won this event last year while former champions include Jordan Spieth, Adam Scott and Jimmy Walker.

Valero Texas Open: What has been said?
McIlroy has consulted Tiger Woods’ former coach Butch Harmon as he prepares to make his 10th attempt to complete a career Grand Slam at Augusta next week.
McIlroy needs to win the Masters to join Gene Sarazen, Ben Hogan, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus and Woods as the only players to have tasted victory in all four major championships.
The world number two started the year well with victory in Dubai, but his form on the PGA Tour has been underwhelming ahead of the Texas Open.
“I went last week to see Butch Harmon for a golf lesson,” McIlroy said.
“I’ve seen him over the years, like once every few years I’ll say, ‘Hey, Butch, can I just come see you and you can take a look and see what you think.'”
McIlroy added that as he was leaving too meet Harmon, his daughter Poppy asked him where he was going.
When he said he was going for a golf lesson, McIlroy said: “She said, ‘Dada, you already know how to play golf.’
“That’s probably the best piece of advice I’ve gotten in the last three years.”
