A top WWE star is currently working through an injury believed to have been suffered during a match at WrestleMania 40.
The opening match of night two of WrestleMania 40 saw Seth Rollins defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Drew McIntyre, with McIntyre capturing the title, his first world title win in front of fans.
Drew’s reign did not last long however, as Damian Priest very quickly cashed in his Money In The Bank briefcase to take the title from Drew after just five minutes.
Following the show, Drew has now been competing on the WWE tour in the United Kingdom with his arm in a sleeve.
Per PWInsider Elite (via WrestleOps), Drew is working the tour while injured, with him having sustained a badly hyperextended elbow that he is working through.
The belief is that the injury occured during Drew’s match with Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.
Drew had taken several months off following WrestleMania 39 last year due to injury, which was added onto the time remaining on his WWE contract.
Drew’s deal is reportedly set to expire at the end of May.
