Tiger Woods looks all-but certain to play in the PGA Championship with the 15-time major champion being pictured on-site for a practice round on Sunday afternoon.
Woods made his latest competitive comeback at last month’s Masters, after suffering severe leg injuries in a car accident in February 2021.
He remarkably made the cut at the iconic Augusta National, before finishing 47th overall on six-over-par.
While he is yet to make a formal announcement about his intention to play in this week’s tournament, he did make an early scouting trip to Southern Hills.
He was joined by his caddie Joe LaCava, as the pair checked out the par-71 track ahead of Thursday.
And the 46-year-old has said that he feels much stronger than he did at the Masters earlier this year, which will excite golf fans, who will now expect to see the legend tee off at Southern Hills later this week.
“I’ve gotten a lot stronger since the Masters,” Woods said as quoted by Yahoo Sports.
“We went back to work on Tuesday (after the Masters). Monday was awful; I did nothing and Tuesday was leg day. So we went right back after it. Everything is better.”
The PGA Championship begins on Thursday before concluding on Sunday.
