Thomas Tuchel wouldn’t have been watching when Bayer Leverkusen secured the Bundesliga title – he was tuning into Arsenal instead.
Bayern Munich were denied the German title for the first time in 12 years, with Xabi Alonso’s Leverkusen claiming glory on Sunday.
But Tuchel wasn’t interested in watching on as their rivals beat Werder Bremen to make club history.
Instead, he was putting all of his focus on preparing for his side’s crucial next match.
When asked about whether he’ll be tuning into Leverkusen’s title-winning outing in his press conference on Friday, he replied: “No. I’m going to watch Arsenal.”
So if he did go through with his viewing decision, he would have watched on as the Gunners lost for the first time since February.

Mikel Arteta’s side fell to a 2-0 defeat to Aston Villa at the Emirates, to hand Manchester City the advantage in the Premier League title race.
That would have delighted the Bayern boss who seemingly has his eyes focused firmly on the Champions League.
Tuchel’s men host Arsenal on Wednesday night, live on talkSPORT, with the score level at 2-2 from the first leg.
Serge Gnabry and Harry Kane’s goals were enough to help their side come away from the Emirates Stadium with a valuable draw.
And now they will welcome Arteta and co to the Allianz Arena this week, looking to progress through to the semi-finals.
Tuchel is set to leave Bayern at the end of the season after a dismal campaign in domestic competitions.
However, he will want to leave with some silverware and the Champions League is their only remaining hope of that.
So, the former Chelsea manager will have been delighted to watch Arsenal experience a rare loss.
He will now be hoping to capitalise on the Gunners with their momentum coming to an end just before the crucial second leg.
