Kenny Omega has been out of action since December 2023, but his return to AEW Dynamite has now been confirmed.
With Omega having been off our screens with diverticulitis since December, he has gone on to lose his spot in The Elite, being replaced with Kazuchika Okada.
The recently returned Jack Perry has also associated himself with the new era of The Elite, leading to the group attacking AEW owner Tony Khan on the April 24 episode of Dynamite.
AEW Dynamite heads to Winnipeg, Manitoba in Canada on May 1 with Kenny Omega being confirmed to be in attendance in his hometown.
It’s not clear what role Omega will play on next week’s Dynamite, although he has broken his silence on the appearance, tweeting:
It’s been a long time.
Omega’s last AEW appearance was on the December 9 episode of Collision, defeating Ethan Page.
Prior to that, he had teamed with Chris Jericho as one half of The Golden Jets, defeating The Young Bucks at AEW Full Gear in a Title Shot vs Disbandment match.
