TUSCUMBIA — The St. Elizabeth Hornets pitched a mixed no-hitter in a three-inning, run-rule 17-0 win towards the Tuscumbia Lions.
Nick Heckemeyer pitched the primary inning, strolling one and hanging out one, then Carter Otto struck out two and hit a batter within the second inning. Isaac Inexperienced pitched the ultimate inning, hanging out two extra batters.
Heckemeyer was 1-for-1, hitting a two-run dwelling run and drawing a stroll, whereas Inexperienced hit a three-run dwelling run and a sacrifice fly.
Caleb Oligschlaeger had two hits, together with a double, and reached base on a stroll and a success by pitch on his approach to two RBI.
St. Elizabeth (5-2) goes to the Eugene/New Bloomfield Match beginning Friday. The Hornets will open the match towards Higby at 6 p.m., then will play New Bloomfied at 8 p.m.
