Daily horse racing tips
- ASCOT
1.35: Kylian 11/1 Each-way (1pt)
3.20: Jarraaf 7/4 (1.5pts) - CURRAGH
4.35: Whistlejacket 4/5 (2pts) - NEWMARKET
3.40: Mountain Breeze 15/8 (1.5pts)
Kylian
Looked to be a promising three-year-old in listed and group company but has failed to be seen so far this season.
As a result, he’s been dropped down in the weights considerably and now gelded, he looks capable of making the most of this dangerous mark.
He’s now just 4lb higher than when bolting up at Sandown in the listed Dragon Stakes at 9/4.
Following that win he was upped 15lb and went close to Big Evs at Goodwood, all in July and August of last year.
He looks very capable of bouncing back with the two biggest factors that can help turn form around.

Jarraaf
Went well clear here when given 10lb by Fresh at Ascot in July winning at 9/4 but made it look like he should have been odds-on.
6f is clearly his ideal trip and he’s going for a 3-3 record over that distance.
He was upped 8lb for that win as it was that impressive and now returns to the course and distance as the clear favourite for the Shergar Cup sprint.
Whistlejacket
Ryan Moore is on board the Aidan O’Brien trained colt, who is now 2-4 after picking up a great win ahead of Billboard Star at Newmarket in July.
He’s been off nearly a month so will come back in fine fettle after showing his ability upped to 6f.
He’s got the pace to go well in 5f sprints but also the determination to stay on – even winning here over 5f by nearly four lengths to Arizona Blaze on soft ground.
He does like a bit of softer ground but was close up behind Shareholder on firm so it won’t pose a threat here.
Mountain Breeze
Lake Victoria is currently the favourite at around 11/8, for O’Brien under Sean Levey.
But the Frankel filly has only had one run so far, over 7f, to beat Red Letter by a head.
That form has worked out well but faces a more exposed sort in Mountain Breeze.
But the Godolphin filly is set to really like the step up in trip having been a 6f Group 2 runner.
Placing a very close second behind Arabian Dusk last time out here.
She’s featured four times at Newmarket already and won the first two runs over both 5f on debut and 6f on her second run.
Lots to like about the Charlie Appleby-trained filly but more so her speed and stamina combined, being by Lope De Vega.
