Ryan Garcia appeared completely out of control at Friday’s ceremonial weigh-in for the Devin Haney fight.
The rival American boxing stars were set to clash for Haney’s WBC super-lightweight world title, live on talkSPORT on Saturday night, but challenger missed weight and so will not be able to win the belt.
Haney successfully made the 140lbs super-lightweight limit at the official commission weigh-in earlier on Friday, which took place behind closed doors.
Garcia however weighed in 3.2lbs over the limit at 143.2lbs.
This briefly threw the fight into late chaos, with both camps having to negotiate a deal to allow it to proceed as a non-title bout, which they have now successfully done.
Once this was finalised, the ceremonial weigh-in took place.
There was a long delay before the fighters appeared, roughly 90 minutes after they were initially supposed to.
When they did, Garcia took to the stage first, but refused to even wait for his opponent to join him.
He jumped straight onto the scale, and drank from a beer bottle, later insisting there truly was alcohol inside it.
Garcia then celebrated as it was announced that he’d missed weight.
Haney stepped onto the scale next and it was announced that he’d made weight.
Before the fighters went to face-off, Devin’s father and trainer Bill Haney clashed with Garcia’s co-promoter Bernard Hopkins.
Garcia initially tried to intervene before removing himself from the situation, standing at the front of the stage and putting his hands together in prayer.
Not long later, he engaged in a furious final face-off with Haney before giving an erratic interview in which he told the booing crowd to ‘suck my d***’.
Remarkably, the fight is still going ahead tomorrow night.
Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia will be live on talkSPORT from 4am on Sunday morning.
