Rodrygo pulled out Cristiano Ronaldo’s ‘Siuu’ celebration after completing Real Madrid’s comeback.
The Spanish giants got off to a bad start against Manchester City when Bernardo Silva wrong-footed Andriy Lunin with a free-kick inside two minutes.
Eduardo Camavinga levelled the game with an effort that deflected heavily off Ruben Dias, before Rodrygo struck just a minute later.
Played in by Vinicius Jr, the Brazilian forward broke into the box down the left and was held up by Manuel Akanji who looked to have the situation covered.
However Rodrygo was able to squeeze a shot into the net after Stefan Ortega hastily came charging off his line before being caught out of position as the 23-year-old made it 2-1.
It was his 16th goal of the season so far and his ninth in this term’s Champions League.
Clearly enjoying his strike, Rodrygo wheeled away in delight before pulling out Ronaldo’s trademark celebration.
As well as being a Real Madrid legend, CR7 is a famous rival of Man City having spent two spells with fierce rivals Manchester United.
Ronaldo scored a staggering 450 goals during his nine-year stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
But if Rodrygo keeps scoring goals like this, his name could firmly be among Los Blancos’ greats in the years to come.
