Sergio Ramos has surprisingly been given some boxing training by UFC champion Ilia Topuria.
Topuria has emerged as one of the promotion’s fastest-rising stars, conquering the featherweight division in February, before parading his belt around the Santiago Bernabeu, the home of Ramos’ former club Real Madrid.
The Real Madrid fan surprised fans on social media today, posting footage of him training with club legend Ramos, who is currently a free agent.
Ramos hit the mats with Topuria and was shown how to dodge punches by the gifted UFC star, who took him through head movement slowly.
The veteran centre-half ducked and weaved with his guard up, as he dodged the slow shots from Topuria to work on his technique.
The pair embraced at the end of the footage, with Ramos clearly delighted with the work he had put in.
He is in sensational shape and posed topless, showing off a shredded six-pack at the end of their session.
Finally, Ramos presented Topuria with a match-worn shirt that the Spaniard wore against the champion’s national team Georgia.
The pair embraced again and discussed their training session, before parting ways.
Ramos is in great shape and clearly regularly trains, but it is unlikely it will lead to any combat debut.
There is an increasing number of celebrities taking to the boxing ring, and an opportunity could present itself for the four-time Champions League winner to compete.
He is currently without a club after departing La Liga outfit Sevilla where he spent a season after leaving Paris Saint-Germain.
The 38-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, which could offer him lucrative wages and a final bow before retirement.
Meanwhile, Topuria’s UFC career will see him take on a fight against huge name Max Holloway at UFC 308.
It will be a huge defence of his title, which will see him once again build his reputation if he is to pick up a win.
And he has confidently vowed that he will deliver another thunderous KO.
“What makes me so excited about this fight is that no one could knock him out,” he said.
“There’s no way I’m not going to knock him out. I will be the first one to knock him out because every time I watch him fight I’m like, ‘I’m way better than him.’
“If you put me with him in kickboxing or boxing, even in a chess match, I beat him.
“I’m just concentrating on my title defence, and that’s it. I don’t care about anything else.”
