Tyson Fury remains insistent that Deontay Wilder would KO Anthony Joshua if they were to meet in the ring.
The WBC heavyweight world champion has always predicted that his former foe would beat his fellow Brit, and is not looking to change his claim any time soon.
Fury has shared the ring with Wilder three times and has intricate knowledge of his strengths and weaknesses.
In their first fight in 2018, he boxed on the back foot and felt the American’s legendary power as he was knocked down in the ninth and then dramatically floored in round 12.
His remarkable recovery to get back to his feet before the bout was ruled a contentious draw will never be forgotten.
When they met in a rematch in 2020, it was a very different story as Fury switched tactics completely, walking Wilder down, dropping him twice and stopping him in seven rounds.
Their 2021 trilogy showdown was almost a combination of the first two fights.
Fury was aggressive once again and put Wilder down in the third, only to then be decked twice himself in the following round. At the end of a brutal battle, the Brit downed the American for a second time in round ten before getting the KO in the eleventh.
Wilder has fought just once since this defeat, making his comeback with a first-round KO of Robert Helenius in October.
Joshua too is now planning a comeback after suffering his second consecutive defeat to Oleksandr Usyk.
And there has also been talk about a potential AJ vs Wilder showdown finally coming to fruition in 2023.
Reacting to this speculation, Fury told SecondsOut: “I’ve always said who wins that fight – Wilder.
“Soon as he hits him, one-punch knockout. See you later, bye bye.”
