Liam and Noel Gallagher could perform together at Wembley this month.
That’s the aim of His Excellency Turki Alalshikh, who told talkSPORT he is going to ask if Noel would perform alongside brother Liam at Anthony Joshua and Daniel Dubois’ upcoming fight.
This comes after the brothers buried the hatchet and announced an Oasis reunion, with thousands clambering for tickets to their tour next year.
Liam Gallagher is set to play a mini-gig at Joshua vs Dubois at the upcoming IBF heavyweight title clash on September 21.
But if His Excellency works his magic, Noel could be on stage too, meaning Oasis fans may not have to wait until 2025 to see them perform together.
Asked if Noel will be alongside Liam, the Saudi boxing chief told talkSPORT: “I hope so! It will be something amazing if we get them together.
Quizzed on whether he’d already asked Noel, he said: “We will try.
“Why not?”
Last week, talkSPORT co-host Simon Jordan revealed he had contacted Noel to ask if he would attend the event, with his formerly estranged brother being the headline act.
The pair did not speak after 2009 following Noel’s departure from the band which saw them split entirely.
And he doesn’t think it’s out of the question that Noel would come to Joshua and Dubois’ fight next month.
“I spoke to Noel yesterday all about [the Oasis reunion],” Jordan said on talkSPORT Boxing.
“It’s funny because I asked him – basically he came to the fight between Joshua Buatsi and Dan Azeez [in February] – and I had asked him about September 21.
“His reason for not going was because he didn’t think it was a good look, if he was in the crowd, Liam was singing and he was wearing earmuffs!
“But now they’ve all made friends and a big bag of money around the world for them [it could change].
“He loves going [to the big fights], all this hullabaloo for Oasis reforming, they didn’t make the same noise for Blur.”
Fans have been urging the Gallagher brothers to get back together since they disbanded 15 years ago, prompted by a backstage brawl at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris in 2009.
Noel, 57, quit the group on August 28 2009, saying he “simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer”, and the brothers have made negative comments about each other for more than a decade.
While confirming the brothers’ acrimonious split was at an end on Tuesday by saying “the great wait is over” for the reunion dates, the band said Oasis Live 25 would be a world tour.
All of the UK and Ireland dates for Oasis’s reunion tour sold out in less than a day
Since 9am on Saturday, when shows at Edinburgh, London, Cardiff and Manchester went on general sale, fans have aired their frustrations at being kicked off ticket selling websites and being quoted hiked prices.
