Nottingham Forest will be more than happy with the start they’ve made to the new Premier League season, having picked up four points from their opening two matches.

Nuno Espirito Santo’s side kicked off the campaign with a 1-1 draw at home against Bournemouth, before picking up a valuable three points on the road against Southampton last weekend.

The victory leaves the east Midlands side joint sixth in the table, making the most of a kind start to the season in terms of fixture list, and will see Saturday’s match against Wolves at home as another huge opportunity to pile on the points early in the season.

Forest will be eager to perform back in front of their home fans once again, and will be looking to get back to winning ways after being knocked out of the EFL Cup on penalties against Newcastle on Wednesday night.

Wolves, on the other hand, weren’t blessed with luck by the fixture list, and as a result, have fallen to two defeats in their opening couple of Premier League fixtures this season.

Gary O’Neil’s side started the campaign with a 2-0 defeat away at title chasing Arsenal, which was followed by a damaging 6-2 home defeat to Chelsea, leaving the West Midlands side second bottom of the Premier League standings heading into the weekend, with only one goal difference separating them from the foot of the table.

The club did manage to pick up their first win of the season in midweek with an EFL Cup second round victory over Championship side Burnley, which will comes a big confidence booster to O’Neil’s men ahead of a huge game at the City Ground on Saturday.

Wolves will see this weekend’s game as a prime opportunity to pick up their first points of the season against a side widely tipped to be battling relegation come spring.

The last four meetings between the two sides have all ended in stalemates, which contributes to Wolves not having won at the City Ground in their last three visits.
