Zhou Guanyu has been summoned by Miami Grand Prix stewards for a pit-lane infringement in qualifying involving Daniel Ricciardo.
The Stake F1 driver was released from his garage by his mechanics as Ricciardo was waiting patiently in line as the field snaked out, but the Chinese racer barged in.
This appeared to go against the race director’s notes, which listed how cars should line-up at the pit-exit.
He also received a second summons for crossing the white line on pit-exit.
Both Ricciardo and Zhou failed to make Q2, and are set to make the back-row up before any penalty is applied for the latter.
Alpine’s Pierre Gasly also received a summons for the same first offence as Zhou in not following the race director’s notes.
