Manchester United winger Antony couldn’t contain his delight at sealing his Brazil World Cup spot, dancing with his family upon hearing the news.
As for Newcastle midfielder Bruno Guimaraes, he cradled his baby son as his emotional family celebrated the news of his call-up.
Brazilian boss Tite named his squad for the global tournament on Monday afternoon – with 13 out of the 26 players contracted to Premier League clubs.
Among those is Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli, with his teammate Gabriel Jesus also picked. However, there was no room for Gabriel Magalhaes.
Another notable omission from the squad is Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino, with Tottenham’s Richarlison preferred instead.
But there was no disappointment for Antony, who has been picked after impressing for United following his switch from Ajax.
Sharing a video on Twitter, the 22-year-old, who was wearing a Brazil jersey, was sitting beside his family, who all had United’s home shirt on.
And after his name was called out, they jumped up before dancing in a huddle around his living room.
Captioning the clip, he said: “For you!!! Thank you, God!! Thank you everyone… friends, family, mom , dad, brothers!! Love you!!! Too much emotion!”
Guimaraes was also accompanied by his family, with his family rising to their feet as they congratulated one another.
Not getting carried away by the emotion, Guimaraes lightly jumped around as he cradled his newborn son Matteo.
Taking to Instagram, the Magpies star revealed how he has fulfilled a dream in being able to compete at a World Cup.
