⚡Quick Liverpool vs Wolves betting tips
Liverpool F.C. vs Wolverhampton Wanderers F.C. predictions
So this is it.
On Sunday, Jurgen Klopp will take charge of his 489th and final game as Liverpool manager. When the German bids farewell to his people, there will be few dry eyes inside Anfield.
Klopp has been a magnificent manager for the club during his nine years at the helm. He was the man who ended Liverpool’s 30-year title drought by leading them to Premier League glory in 2020.
Klopp also picked up the Reds’ sixth Champions League and took them to two more finals, losing to Real Madrid on both occasions. Domestically, he won an FA Cup and two EFL Cups.
Some will argue Klopp should have claimed more silverware. Had his tenure not coincided with that of Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, he probably would have done.
Yet Klopp is a living legend at Liverpool for reasons beyond his trophy haul, which is impressive enough. Right from the very start he forged a connection with the club’s supporters that is as strong today as it ever was.
A charismatic personality, Klopp’s passion for the game is one reason why he is adored on the Anfield terraces. Others are his promotion of community and his left-leaning politics, qualities which match those of the Liverpool fan base.
Klopp’s teams have played the sort of fast, energetic and aggressive football that Liverpool supporters love to see. There has been no shortage of quality either. For all his compassion, emotional intelligence and man-management skills, Klopp is also a fantastic tactician.
The dream goodbye is no longer possible after Liverpool officially dropped out of the Premier League title race last weekend. But Sunday will still be a celebration as the Reds part ways with one of their greatest ever managers.
Wolverhampton Wanderers will strive to be party poopers, but the wave of emotion should carry Liverpool through to victory.
Liverpool vs Wolves betting tips
Liverpool will be looking to sign off with a win when they face Wolves in their last Premier League game of 2023/24.
Liverpool to win and both teams to score – 11/10 (Betfair)
Liverpool let a 3-1 lead slip at Aston Villa on Monday night, as their hosts struck twice late on to secure a 3-3 draw.
It was hard to deny that Villa deserved something from the game on the balance of play, but Klopp was still disappointed to see his side throw a two-goal advantage away.
While the result of Sunday’s showdown with Wolves does not really matter – Liverpool will finish third come what may – Klopp’s competitiveness means he will be doing all he can to sign off with a win.

Liverpool’s cause is aided by the fact that Wolves are limping over the finish line. A 3-1 home defeat by Crystal Palace last time out means Gary O’Neil’s team have won just one of their last nine matches.
Yet with Pedro Neto closing in on a return, Wolves should at least have a full complement of attackers available for Sunday. The visitors can find the back of the net against a Liverpool side that has conceded two or more goals in each of its last four outings.

Liverpool to win by two goals – 3/1 (Betfair)
Wolves opened the scoring in the reverse fixture back in September, but Liverpool came from behind to register a 3-1 win.
We could see something similar this weekend, at least in terms of the margin of victory. Liverpool’s last three triumphs in the Premier League have been by two clear goals, as have half of Wolves’ last eight defeats.
There is no doubt that Liverpool’s players will want to put on a show in Klopp’s final match in the dugout, but in truth this team has been below its best for a few weeks now.
The Reds ultimately ran out of steam in the run-in having at one point been in contention to win four trophies.
Yet even though Liverpool have not quite been at their sharpest over the last couple of months or so, they should be able to get past Wolves without too much difficulty.

Cody Gakpo to score any time – 2/1 (Betfair)
One of the big decisions facing Michael Edwards, Richard Hughes and Arne Slot ahead of next season regards the fate of Darwin Nunez.
It is hard to see the Uruguay international being sold this summer, but Slot in particular must decide if he wants Nunez to be his main man through the middle next season.
Cody Gakpo has displaced him in the starting XI in recent weeks and he is likely to keep his place in the team for the visit of Wolves on Sunday.
The Netherlands international found the back of the net against both Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa in Liverpool’s last two games. Those goals will have given him a boost of confidence after a mixed first full season on Merseyside.
Wolves are struggling to keep opposition attacks out right now and Gakpo can take advantage.
