Liverpool have released a number of limited edition Jurgen Klopp caps, and it doesn’t come cheap.
Klopp’s nine years at the club came to an emotional end this season, with Arne Slot – whose first official day as manager began with one of his players demanding to leave – coming in to replace him.
Now, fans can remember the German by getting hands on their own version of the hat their legendary manager wore many times during his time on the Anfield touchline.
Or at least they were able to!
On Friday, 500 baseball caps were released for sale but are already out of stock on the Liverpool club shop website.
Each cap includes his iconic quote ‘I am not a dreamer. I am football romantic’ in gold stitching as well as its own number out of the 500 sold.
It also includes 12 picture cards capturing some of Klopp’s ‘most important moments’ as manager.
Each Klopp cap cost £150.
But whilst some fans clearly weren’t put off by the price tag, others weren’t so impressed.
“The price is outrageous,” one fan wrote, replying to the post of the cap.
A second added: “For just £150 you too can have a generic baseball cap with a simple design.”
“I totally get it that this a ‘special edition’ cap and we all love Jurgen, but £150!” a third replied.
The caps are already making their way onto eBay, too.
One is currently being sold on the website, but this time for £500.
Klopp managed 489 games at Liverpool, winning a Premier League title and a Champions League amongst other accolades.
