Kylian Mbappe has confirmed that he will leave Paris Saint-Germain this summer.
The French forward is out of contract and is expected to join Real Madrid in a blockbuster move.
Mbappe verbally agreed to move to the Santiago Bernabeu back in February – a move that has long-been expected to come to fruition.
It’s expected that the forward will earn £13million a year in La Liga as the Spanish giants look to add one of the world’s top players to their side.
In a message posted on his social media channels, Mbappe said: “I’ve always said that I would speak with you when the time comes and so I wanted to announce to you all that it’s my last year at Paris Saint-Germain.
“I will not extend and the adventure will come an end in a few weeks.

“I will play my last game at the Parce des Princes on Sunday.
“It’s a lot of emotions, many years where I had the chance and the great honour to be a member of the biggest French club, one of the best in the world which allowed me to arrive here, to have my first experience in a club with a lot of pressure, to grow as a player by being alongside some of the best in history, to meet a lot of people and to grow as a man with all the glory and the mistakes I’ve made.”
He added: “I never thought it would be this difficult to leave my country… Ligue 1 (is a) championship I have always known, but I think I needed… a new challenge after seven years.”
The 25-year-old joined Paris Saint-Germain from Monaco in £165.7million.
Since then, the World Cup winner has gone on to score 255 goals in 306 appearances, helping the club to six league titles and three French Cups.
Despite finishing as runners-up in the 2020 Champions League, Europe’s premier competition is the one major trophy that still evades him.
Mbappe has already won the French title with PSG this year, but had hopes of winning the Champions League in his final year before moving on.
But that dream was dashed with Borussia Dortmund instead securing their spot in the Champions League final where they will face Real Madrid at Wembley Stadium.
According to Thierry Henry, Mbappe will go down in history as Paris Saint-Germain’s best-ever player.
Henry told CBS Sports: “We all know he was leaving. He was magnificent for Paris Saint-Germain.
“It’s not an easy one, that’s your last game in Europe for Paris Saint-Germain but he can leave this club with his head held high. It’s not everyone that can win everywhere and especially the Champions League. Only Real Madrid win it at will.
“But the big man played really well at Paris Saint-Germain throughout his whole career there. I’m not going to judge him on not winning the Champions League with Paris.
When asked if he feels Mbappe is PSG’s greatest ever player, Henry said: “It’s not even a discussion, he’s no.1.
“With the impact he had all over the world, what he’s been doing, for me yes, he will go down as the best player to ever play for Paris Saint-Germain.”
