The Winnipeg Jets have come into this season with something to prove following their first-round exit in last season’s playoffs. And they have definitely exceeded expectations thus far as the team is sitting at a perfect 7-0-0 record, good enough for first in the league standings.
While the team has been firing on all cylinders, two main things have stuck out in this early stretch – their goals-allowed total and their power-play efficiency. The team has been truly impressive on defense and between the pipes, allowing just 13 goals in seven games. On the power play, they’ve been unreal, converting at a 42.11 percent rate. Whether the Jets can keep this going is yet to be seen, but for now, they’re definitely rolling.
