An injured WWE star is set to make their return soon after missing five months due to a ‘freak accident’ injury.
WWE NXT’s Eddy Thorpe has not appeared on the show since his NXT Underground match with Dijak back in December 2023.
Thorpe had recently made his return to action on NXT Level Up, as well as several NXT live events, and is set to return to NXT’s main show shortly.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), Thorpe suffered a hip injury during the NXT Underground match with Dijak, which was described by one source in NXT to be a ‘freak accident’.
Thorpe was cleared to return to action in late February-early March, leading to his return at the March 19 NXT Level Up tapings.
On top of the hip injury, Thorpe had also been suffering from an unknown injury back in October, and was also working hurt heading into NXT Deadline, where he returned to cost Dijak in the Iron Survivor Challenge.
Those within NXT told Fightful that Thorpe is expected to be back on the main NXT programming in the near future, and that he is not dealing with any other known injuries as of now, remaining active on house shows and Level Up tapings.
