Ryan Garcia has taken shots at Devin Haney following his win.
Garcia stepped into the ring as the overwhelming underdog in his showdown with Haney, but was able to pull off an incredible upset dropping his rival three times en route to a thrilling points win.
The pair had been embroiled in a bitter rivalry for several months before their showdown but appeared to have settled their feud with an embrace post-fight.
But now Garcia appears to have reignited a war of words, dropping a diss track named ‘Haney Pack’ on his rival.
The lyrics he rapped, read: “They didn’t think that I would win. but I won. They didn’t think that I would win, but I won.
“I got in there and got the job done. I’m the best in the world, number one.
“Got that Haney pack going in my lungs. Really get that boy some beat, he my son.
“He was sleep on the ground, he did not respond kind. Come on, call an ambulance Bill.”
Garcia had already mocked Haney by smoking while referencing his win over the WBC super-lightweight champion.
A new feud would provide a storyline for any second meeting, which both fighters have suggested could be agreed at a new catchweight.
Garcia claimed in the aftermath of the encounter that he had broken Haney’s jaw which could have put an immediate sequel in jeopardy.
But Haney offered a health update insisting he was all clear to compete again at the back end of 2024.
And he also provided a plea to Garcia to make the rematch on fairer terms.
“I came up short but this is boxing, and if anyone knows me they know that I am a true competitor, and always wanted to test my skills against the best fighters in the world.
“Ryan, despite the circumstances was victorious that night and that’s fine. I do feel like weight played a role in it but only Allah knows.
“I would love to run it back and give the fans a FAIR fight within an agreed weight.
“With that being said, I am currently enjoying time with my family & friends as well as making up my days of Ramadan.
“Thank you to all my supporters & everyone involved in making this event happen.”
