It was only a matter of time before a golfer lost their rag at the Phoenix Open and Zach Johnson was that man.
As things continued to be rowdy in Arizona, Team USA’s captain at the last Ryder Cup bit back.
Renowned for it’s wild atmosphere, the event in Scottsdale is fondly known as the the ‘People’s Open’.
This sees a more vibrant crowd, with plenty of beer and some crazy moments at the side of the course.
There is also the infamous 16th hole, which is often the epicenter for chaos.
However, this year has seen fights, people sliding in mud, and alcohol sales paused as spectators run amok.
And while out on the course on day four, Johnson had final had enough.
It appears the two-time US Open winner had been triggered by some golf fans being loud.
“Don’t ‘Sir’ me,” an agitated Johnson fumed as he tried to talk to the spectators.
“Somebody stand here. I’m sick of it – just shut up.”
Another voice can then be heard saying: “Grow up.”
Old Row Golf then reported Johnson shanked his next shot with a spectator adding: “Guess being an a****** doesn’t help.”
There was chaos elsewhere too with Billy Horschel also slamming fans for talking while players take shots.
