talkSPORT’s Graeme Souness has admitted that Jude Bellingham is an absolute superstar compared to him.
Bellingham was most recently spotted leading the Real Madrid crowd in perfect Spanish during their LaLiga title parade.
It comes after a sensational debut season with Los Blancos where his 18 league goals have led them to LaLiga glory while the Englishman could also end the campaign with a Champions League winners’ medal when he takes on his former side Borussia Dortmund in the final on June 1.
England fans already cannot wait to see the 20-year-old in action ahead of Euro 2024, and Souness believes Bellingham has all the tools to become one of the best players in the world.
Speaking on the White & Jordan Show, the Scotsman said: “He’s a man already, isn’t he?
“In terms of physique, he is well in advance in terms of the way he plays the game, he has got a good head on his shoulders.

“You ask questions of this young man going back, because everyone wanted him, and the only thing his father was interested in when he was sitting in front of Manchester United, Liverpool and anyone else, ‘when will he be in the first team?’
“It wasn’t about what are you going to pay him, it was about him becoming a player in the first team and he ended up out in Germany.
“There is nothing to dislike about him. Every time I look at him, he has absolutely everything to be a superstar.
“His first year at Real Madrid has gone way beyond any expectation. I watched him play only once in the flesh in the Scotland vs England game, he was on another level.
“We were doing a piece to camera on the pitch, he came within about 15 yards of us and he is a giant.
“When I played, I was 5ft10, 12 stone, I was a big midfield player. He is a giant. He has unbelievable technique, he can find a pass, he is an absolute superstar in the making.”
“He is a freak, in the nicest way possible.”
Souness was no shrinking violet during his playing career and while he had something of a reputation of a hard-tackling, old-school midfielder, he could certainly play too.
The bulk of his playing days came at Middlesbrough and Liverpool, where at the latter he won five league titles, four League Cups and three European Cups.
But Bellingham could end the season with a LaLiga and Champions League double while he is already one of the frontrunners to win the Ballon d’Or later this year.
It would be a fantastic achievement for a player that will only turn 21 in the summer.
