WWE has confirmed how the new WWE Women’s World Champion is going to be determined after Rhea Ripley was forced the vacate the title.
There was an announcement that on the upcoming edition of Monday Night Raw (April 22) there would be a new champion crowned but previously it had not been revealed how.
However in a newly released video, it was been confirmed that there will be a Battle Royal to determine the new champion.
The following women were shown in the clip:
Becky Lynch, Liv Morgan, Nia Jax, Maxxine Dupri, Chelsea Green,
Natalya, Katana Chance, Indi Hartwell, Zoey Stark, Kayden Carter,
Candice LeRae, Shayna Baszler, Xia Li, Tegan Nox, Piper Niven, Ivy Nile
Despite her inclusion in the video, Xia Li was among three WWE stars released today.
After becoming injured in a backstage brawl segment with Liv Morgan, Rhea Ripley confirmed on Monday Night Raw on April 15 that not only was she injured, but she would be out of action for quite some time.
Accordingly, Ripley would go on to vacate her WWE Women’s World Championship after a 380 day reign.
