British boxing fans won’t want to miss Anthony Joshua’s bid to become a three-time world heavyweight champion when he faces Daniel Dubois later this month.
The British pair will contest the IBF heavyweight world title at Wembley following Oleksandr Usyk’s decision to vacate his belt.
Former undisputed champion Usyk dropped one of the four straps he claimed in May to facilitate a rematch with Tyson Fury rather than battle his overdue mandatory challenger Filip Hrgovic.
However, Hrgovic lost his status as the holder of the IBF interim belt to Dubois in June, which saw ‘DDD’ upgraded to full champion instead.
He now makes his first defence of the title against fellow Londoner Joshua in the duo’s return to the capital’s heavyweight fight scene.
The winner of Joshua vs Dubois knows a potential undisputed meeting with either Usyk or Fury would await next year.

“I dream of a PPV with a good price to make the fans happy and subscribe and get them to watch it legally.

“I dream of a PPV with a good price to make the fans happy and subscribe and get them to watch it legally.
“The people go around it illegally because the price is high. In the future, this will not build boxing.
“If I give the fans good fights at a good price then I will increase the fanbase.”
