Chianti Classico
Tipped Chianti Classico at 8/1 for Cheltenham Festival’s Ultima Handicap Chase.
He cruised into contention of the 21-strong field having been held just off the long-time leader.

But round the bend he was well clear and going well and won by over four lengths in the end and won quite comfortably too but was held to his work by Twig in second.
The heavy ground played a huge part and that could go a long way into his ability in this one too at a massive price considering he’s continually progressed with each run.
Inthewaterside
Inthewaterside has been making good progress for Paul Nicholls and could realistically be well weighted to pounce in this race featuring 22 runners.
10/1 is a strong price each-way for many bookies paying extra places too.
Most read in Horse Racing
He wears a hood for the first time and comes into this on the back of two solid races.
Notably his second place finish behind Pic Roc, which could boost his potential more.
Pic Roc was carrying 8lb less but after that win went off at 123, to beat Champagne Twist in the Grade 3 Handicap Hurdle Final at Sandown.
That says a lot about his ability giving that much weight away and still going close to a horse in graded company and can now easily cruise into this carrying just 10-12 under the expert champion jockey Harry Cobden.
Dysart Enos & Lump Sum
This is a fascinating hurdle contest with Supreme Novices’ Hurdle placers Mystical Power and Firefox fronting the betting.
Dysart Enos was due to head to the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Cheltenham Festival but was withdrawn so doesn’t get that steep rise in the ratings the others have had for taking part and doing well in their races last month.
But she’s given 7lb by the geldings and this mare has been unbeaten over hurdles and even landed the Grade 2 bumper with ease last year at this festival.
She could well have won that Cheltenham Festival race that was won by Golden Ace, with Brighterdaysahead in a surprise second place.
Golden Ace was second to Dysart Enos in the bumper and did well to surprise a few at 10/1 at Cheltenham, which only boosts this mares chances.
Lump Sum was tipped last time out to win at Kempton and he obliged well winning by over four lengths.
That was after he was just second to Jeriko Du Reponet and was an eyecatcher at that as he kept on to claim that place having been near the back of the field for the majority of that Grade 2.
Should be able to progress on from that for Sam Thomas under jockey Sam Twiston-Davies with an each-way chance at small stakes.
Jonbon
Brother Douvan was also prominent and dominant over 2m but tried his luck at 2m4f, back in 2019, and was successful by quite the margin at Clonmel in the Oil Chase.
This step up in trip shouldn’t be a concern based on pedigree and if anything, could eke out more improvement from a horse who’s always shown great ability but has on just two occasions been pipped to the line due to jumping mistakes.
But this horse has won seven from nine and come second twice as well.
He’s reliable even with jumping errors and could follow in Douvan’s footsteps stepping up in trip, but at the age of eight could see him develop further over this distance.
Fantastic Lady
Fantastic Lady was pulled up when last seen, at Doncaster in the listed mares’ chase which was won by Limerick Lace.
This mare ran well here, also on the Grand National course, also on heavy back in November when fifth behind Gesskille while carrying top-weight and is 1lb lower from that.
She also placed third behind Hewick last April and is lightly raced this season and hopefully back to her best having come second here last year so is a massive price on paper.
Combined Exacta
Readin Tommy Wrong was favourite for the Albert Bartlett but had to be pulled up before the last having not travelled smoothly at all.
While he can leave that behind him, his jumping hasn’t always been overly encouraging and over this kind of a 3m test may just miss out on the win due to it.
The Jukebox Man was only just denied in that race and takes a big step up in the weights as a result.
He’s proven to be a top horse only been beaten by others at the best level.
He lead all the way, jumped well while dictating the pace from the front and only got headed when it mattered most, right before the line.
But it’s Shanagh Bob who can come here fresh and dominate over a distance he won at at Cheltenham, beating Destroytheevidence.
He can follow Sir Gino’s lead in winning for jockey, trainer and owner with a big performance here and keep his unbeaten record in tact.
