WWE Royal Rumble takes place on February 1, 2025, in Indianapolis, in a ground-breaking deal that includes WrestleMania and SummerSlam.
News of the location for the upcoming three PLEs was revealed by WWE in an official press release.
Further details of the Indianapolis deal have since emerged, including the possibility of Royal Rumble and SummerSlam being two-night events like WrestleMania.
With the Royal Rumble still just under eight months away, the Indy God that is Matt Cardona has teased the possibility of a WWE return.
Over on Twitter, the former Zack Ryder initially tweeted out:
“#RoyalRumble is in Indianapolis…
“Indy…
“hmm…
“Maybe it’s time for the INDY GOD to come home……”
He would quickly follow up this tweet with another that read:
“Attention independent promoters…
“Sorry, but I am unavailable on February 1. Thanks!
“#IndyGod”
Nic Nemeth, better known to WWE fans as Dolph Ziggler, responding by asking:
“New Jersey?”
Cardona was released by WWE in April 2020 and has gone on to forge a successful career on the independent wrestling scene.
