Longtime Spanish-language announcer Carlos Cabrera has signed with AEW.
During Wednesday’s Dynamite, Tony Khan confirmed on X that Cabrera will be joining AEW’s announce team.

Cabrera is best known for being the voice of WWE’s Spanish-language commentary team for years, dating back to 1994. Throughout his run in WWE, he did commentary with Ed Trucco, Hugo Savinovich, and later Marcelo Rodriguez. He also hosted the Spanish-language program WWE en Espanol, which recapped WWE shows including Raw and SmackDown. Cabrera was let go in February of 2022 after nearly 30 years with the company.
Days after his release from WWE, he did commentary for AAA’s Rey de Reyes event, reuniting with Savinovich.
Born in Bogota, Colombia, Cabrera was a newsman and radio personality before joining WWE. He is an ACE award-winning voice-over announcer in both television and radio.
