WWE has crowned the first ever NXT North American Women’s Champion in Las Vegas at the UFC Apex at Battleground.
There was a furious ladder match to determine who would become the first NXT North American Women’s Champion at tonight’s premium live event, NXT Battleground.
Vic Joseph on commentary referenced AEW star Adam Cole as he was the inaugural winner of the NXT Men’s North American Championship.
With an NXT Women’s Combine leading to 12 whittling the field to 6 ahead of the match, there were a variety of skills and styles on display.
In the match – Michin, Jaida Parker, Fallon Henley, Sol Ruca, Kelani Jordan and Lash Legend.
Near the final third of the match, the other five women in the match picked up Lash Legend over their heads and threw her over the top rope on a ladder poised between the ring and the commentary desk.
In the end it came down to Kelani Jordan able to take out Michin in the ring, climb the ladder and become the first ever NXT North American Women’s Champion.
Elsewhere set for tonight’s NXT Battleground, the NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez puts her title on the line in a match against TNA Knockouts Champion Jordynne Grace.
