The 2022 World Cup is finally underway and FIFA 23’s latest promo is set to celebrate the stars of the tournament.
Ultimate Team has received a Qatar takeover for the next month including FUT Hero items as well as World Cup swaps.
Yet it’s the introduction of the Path to Glory promo has got fans most excited following Team One’s release on Friday.
PTG player cards are dynamic FUT items for players whose teams are competing in the World Cup, and like Ones to Watch, will upgrade depending on real-life tournament perforance.
Path to Glory upgrades are as follows:
- Country qualifies from Group Stages: +1 rating
- Wins Round of 16 match: +1 rating – starting from December 3rd
- Wins Quarter-final match: 5 star Weak Foot upgrade – starting from December 7th
- Wins Semi-final match: 5 star Skill Moves upgrade – starting from December 12th
- Wins World Cup Final: +1 rating and 3 new Traits – Final upgrades from December 15th/ Winner upgrade then December 19th
The actual PTG players themselves do not need to feature in the games for their country for them to count towards the upgrade
Meanwhile, players who already boast 5 star Skills Moves (e.g. Vinicius Jr.) or 5 star Weak Foot will instead receive another +1 rating.
