Kylian Mbappe will be wearing a mask in France’s next Euro 2024 outing and fans think they know what the mask should be.
The French forward suffered a horrific broken nose during their 1-0 win over Austria.
The break was confirmed by the French Football Federation [FFF] confirmed on Monday with a statement that said: “He has returned to the base camp of the French team.
“He will undergo treatment in the coming days, without undergoing surgery immediately.”
Mbappe himself seems to be in good spirits as he posted on social media shortly after the game, writing: “Any ideas for masks?”
This led one X account called Vibes Foot to share a video of Mbappe opening the mask of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle.

This was accompanied by the caption: “Kylian Mbappé has already received his mask for the next match.”
While the fan suggestion is clearly a light-hearted suggestion, it certainly follows the theme of a running joke at the Real Madrid-bound star’s expense.
Inter Milan star Marcus Thuram was on media duty for France before the Austria game when a journalist mistakenly called him ‘Kylian’.
Responding to the reporter, Thuram joked: “Kylian? I’m more handsome than Kylian. I don’t look like a ninja turtle.”
Meanwhile Neal Maupay had his own suggestion for a mask, sharing a picture of his face with two drawn
France are next in action against the Netherlands, however it’s unlikely that he will be risked for that match.
The hope is that France will welcome him back for the final group stage fixture against Poland.
