RacingNews365 readers have voted Yuki Tsunoda as their overwhelming favourite to replace Sergio Perez and partner Max Verstappen at Red Bull in 2025.
In the poll, the full results of which can be found below, we gave readers four options as to who would be a realistic candidate to partner Verstappen in 2025, namely incumbent Perez, Carlos Sainz, Daniel Ricciardo and Tsunoda.
Red Bull’s current thinking is to extend Perez’s stay for a fifth season alongside Dutchman Verstappen, although it has warned him that it needs to see an urgent improvement in his form after two scrappy weekends at Imola and in Monaco, where he scored just four points overall.
Given the renewed threat Red Bull is facing from McLaren and Ferrari, Red Bull can seldom allow off-performances but it still looks as if Perez will be the second driver of the RB21 this time next year.
On the flip-side, Tsunoda is having a very impressive season at RB, and has comprehensively out-performed team-mate Daniel Ricciardo.
Ricciardo is yet to score a single point in a grand prix this season, whilst Tsunoda has 18 of them, including a pair of seventh-place finishes in Australia and Miami.
However, despite him sitting in 10th place in the Drivers’, Red Bull does not appear to favour Tsunoda, who might have to look elsewhere for another seat if he wants to leave RB.
