Zlatan Ibrahimovic couldn’t resist showing his cheeky side during an appearance on Man City’s TV channel.
The former Manchester United star was in attendance for the pre-season clash between Man City and AC Milan that took place at Yankee Stadium in New York.
After three different spells with AC Milan, Ibrahimovic has since been working as senior advisor to the Italian giants.
Clearly, part of his new role includes winding up Milan’s opponents – something that he managed in chaotic fashion when invited on to Man City’s coverage of the game.
Joining the host and former City stars Shaun Wright-Phillips and Joleon Lescott, Ibrahimovic caused chaos by saying: “Bro do you have any viewers here on Man City TV?”
Wright-Phillips then replied: “We’ve got a lot, we’ve got a lot” before the host said: “Say hello to our viewers at Man City TV!”
Fans couldn’t believe Zlatan’s savagery, with one Man United fan saying: “What a man.”
Another said: “Zlatan is in his 40’s and is still cooking City.”
But not everyone was impressed, with one fan saying: “The entire stadium is full of City supporters, Mr ZERO UCL is salty his team has no global support.”
Meanwhile one more fan said: “Zlatan: ‘How can I make this about myself?'”
Ibrahimovic’s comments were the least of Man City’s problems though, as they fell to a 3-2 defeat to AC Milan.
With many of their stars still away on holiday after Euro 2024 and the Copa America, Pep Guardiola named a youthful side with just Ederson, Rico Lewis, Jack Grealish and Erling Haaland among the senior stars taking part.
Haaland gave the Premier League champions the lead, before Lorenzo Colombo’s double put AC Milan ahead.
James McAtee drew the game level, before Marco Nasti wrapped up the win for the Rossoneri.
Man City will play Barcelona and Chelsea in pre-season fixtures, before taking on Manchester United in the Community Shield on Saturday, August 10.
They’ll then start their Premier League campaign away at Chelsea on Sunday, August 18.
