WWE stars insulting Logan Paul continues to get a big laugh from fans, but some couldn’t help but spot something a little amiss on Raw this week.
Jey Uso was the latest to take a dig at the Paul brothers this week as he took aim at United States champion Paul.
But while his amusing jibe got a good laugh at the time, it was what fans looking more closely spotted behind the grappler that has really got people talking.
Uso is riding high in WWE just now as the no.1 contender to Damian Priest’s World Heavyweight Championship.
He’ll face the Judgement Day member at this weekend’s Backlash: France Premium Live Event in Paris, WWE’s first major event since April’s WrestleMania blockbuster.
The former tag team specialist was quizzed on the fact that Logan Paul had joined him on Monday Night Raw in the recent WWE Draft, which assigns stars to its two flagship weekly television shows.
Cheekily, Uso fired: “I’m glad we signed a Paul brother. I just wish it was the one with the winning record!”
Little is wasted on WWE television these days so, chances are this could be WWE’s way of setting up a possible feud between the superkick specialist and Paul in the months to come – particularly as the two also clashed verbally and physically in the ring on the same show.
Nevertheless, once the backstage interview was over, it was something else altogether fans were discussing.
During the same segment, fans had spotted another Judgement Day member in Dominik Mysterio leaving a nearby dressing room – only seconds after Liv Morgan departed the same room.
Morgan is the wrestler responsible for injuring Mysterio’s on-screen partner, Rhea Ripley, with a serious injury after a storyline brawl backstage went wrong.
That left Ripley on the shelf and forced her to relinquish her championship after a dominant run, and presumably leaving Morgan and Mysterio fiercely at odds.
While Uso chatted away in the foreground, fans couldn’t help but speculate on the cleverly placed drama going on in the corridor behind.
“Didn’t catch this live… this is interesting,” said one, having later picked up on it with a video on X.
“That doesn’t happen by accident either,” said another. “They showed that for a reason.”
Another post said: “One can be explained as an accident where they run into each other but walking out of the same room. I would say Liv and Dom cooking up something, Can’t wait to see what.”
Offering a playful benefit of the doubt to the on-screen villain Mysterio, another said: “Dom was having a hard time opening a jar and Liv was there so she helped him, nothing crazy.”
A further, impressed viewer added: “For real this is an absolute Easter egg, this was no accident haha.”
Backlash: France this weekend also features a first defence of the Undisputed WWE title for new champ Cody Rhodes.
Rhodes, having downed Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, meets AJ Styles in Paris.
