Manchester United’s hunt for European football continues this evening when they face Crystal Palace, live on talkSPORT.
The Red Devils are locked in an intense battle for a Europa League place with Newcastle and Chelsea, while they could still catch Tottenham in fifth.
However, a 1-1 draw at home to Burnley was less than ideal, and after Newcastle and Chelsea won, they are now eighth.
Meanwhile, Palace have looked like a team transformed in recent weeks under Oliver Glasner.
The Eagles are unbeaten in four, winning their last two at home, so it will be a far-from-easy game for Erik ten Hag’s side.

Crystal Palace 4-0 Man United
83′ – Amrabat blocks Munoz’s goalbound effort but it’s a mark of how poor the defending is that the latter was able to bring Olise’s shot down on his chest inside the box before shooting.
Olise’s corner is headed clear by Evans but recycled by Eze on the edge of the area before standing up a deep cross.
It’s met by Richard’s header but it’s a simple catch for Onana.

“Get some of the young lads on.”
-
Crystal Palace 4-0 Man United
74′ – Amrabat does enough to avoid Edouard fashioning an angle to have a shot inside the box – the substitute has at least put himself about where so many of his teammates are hiding.

Match made in heaven!
-
Crystal Palace 4-0 Man United
70′ – Glasner is shown a yellow card for leaving his technical area in anger at that tackle on his two-goal hero.
Palace square a short free-kick for Eze who sees his long-range effort blocked.
He chases after the ball to keep it alive and is then fouled by Dalot who tugs his shirt. The visitors are falling apart here!
-
Crystal Palace 4-0 Man United
69′ – Amrabat is shown a yellow card for recklessly sliding in on Olise which has Glasner up in arms on the bench.
Murphy: “I don’t mind that from Amrabat, players taking the mickey.”

GOAL!! Crystal Palace 4-0 Man United Michael Olise
66′ – WHAT A STUNNER FROM OLISE BUT WOW CASEMIRO AGAIN AT FAULT!
The hapless Brazilian is caught on his own byline dawdling on the ball by Munoz which leaves United stretched.
He pulls it back for Olise who finds the top corner with a brilliant curling effort.
Murphy told talkSPORT: “If Man United have this XI fit for Arsenal then I’d be worried for them.”

Crystal Palace 3-0 Man United
61′ – Ten Hag responds to going three behind by bringing on Amrabat for Antony.
Murphy said: “I praise Ten Hag for that… his attitude – moaning at everybody… well done Ten Hag. You may be losing but you don’t throw your arms in the air at your teammates.”
-
GOAL!! Crystal Palace 3-0 Man United – Tyrick Mitchell
58′ – BUT IT’S NOT GOING TO MATTER – MITCHELL MAKES IT THREE!
Palace play the second corner short and Wharton is left unmarked on the edge of the box to stand up a deep cross which Andersen attacks.
He’s in a tussle with Dalot who inadvertently steers the ball across goal where Mitchell is on hand to turn home.
-
Crystal Palace 2-0 Man United
58′ – Great double save from Onana!
First he beats behind Mitchell’s fierce strike at his near post before the resulting corner comes out to Hughes on the edge.
The latter sends a deft half-volley over a crowd of bodies and Onana flies across to palm it behind for another corner.
-
Crystal Palace 2-0 Man United
57′ – So delightful from Eze and Olise but the former fires wide!
Eze makes a mockery of Eriksen as he feeds a pass around the corner for his wing partner who takes Casemiro out of the game with a sumptuous back-heeled return pass.
Eze races away from Eriksen into the box but then unusually opens up his body and fires off target.
-
Crystal Palace 2-0 Man United
55′ – That’s now two goals Casemiro has had ruled out tonight.
The first was controversially ruled out for a foul against Hojlund and would have been his as the striker never made contact with the ball.
But no doubt over his second – clearly offside!
-
Crystal Palace 2-0 Man United – NO GOAL!
53′ – YOU COULDN’T WRITE IT!
CASEMIRO HAS THE BALL IN THE NET BUT IT’S NOT GOING TO COUNT!
Eriksen floats in a free-kick from the edge of the box which an unmarked Casemiro rises up to thunder a header against the post.
It fortuitously comes back to him to tap home but just as he grabs the ball for a quick restart he clocks the offside flag.
-
Crystal Palace 2-0 Man United
51′ – First shot on target for the visitors!
It comes from Antony who cuts inside and bends an effort towards goal but it’s a simple enough stop for Henderson who holds onto it.
-
Crystal Palace 2-0 Man United
49′ – Eze fires at Onana!
More horrid defending from the visitors as a long ball from Henderson catches out Wan-Bissaka with Munoz running behind him.
He waits for the overlapping run of Cylne who picks up an unmarked Eze on the penalty spot but his shot lacks any real conviction.

Eriksen gets us restarted – can the visitors muster any type of response?
-
Crystal Palace 2-0 Man United HALF-TIME
Arsenal have become the king of set-pieces under the tutelage of specialist coach Nicolas Jover but Man Utd…not so much!
Murphy blasted one of United’s during the break: “I don’t know if he’s a set piece man, perhaps he’s a cone man.”
Durham added: “Maybe it’s in his cone-tract!”
-
‘Nothing can be worse than Casemiro’
More from Carragher on Olise’s goal: “It is embarrassing from Casemiro, it is not about him being a defensive midfielder, he has been that bad he has to come off.
“Nothing can be worse than Casemiro at centre-back. Put Wan-Bissaka in the middle.”
