Conor McGregor’s dad appears to be on the mend after suffering a heart attack.
On Thursday, MMA fans feared the worst when Tony McGregor was rushed to a top-tier medical facility near his home in Dublin, Ireland after experiencing chest pains.
The 64-year-old confirmed he had suffered a heart attack but eased fears about his health by providing an update from his hospital bed on social media.
Mr McGregor shared a picture of him tucking into some Chinese food after getting, a tiny, expandable metal mesh coil (stent) fitted to help keep his artery open.
“Thanks to the cardio team, Hermitage,” he captioned the Instagram story post.
“Heart attack in the morning. Stent in the afternoon. Sweet and sour chicken in the evening. See ya later, suckers.”

According to TMZ Sports, ‘Mystic Mac’ put his comeback preparations on hold to be by his father’s side during his hour of need.
McGregor and several other family members rushed to the hospital to be with his father before learning he was on the mend and due to be released soon.
The health scare shouldn’t stop the MMA icon from fighting next month.
McGregor hasn’t fought since breaking his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021, but he’s still the sport’s biggest star.
Michael Chandler will welcome him back to the Octagon at UFC 303 on June 29.
McGregor Sr, who introduced his son to kickboxing at a young age, has travelled all around the world to watch the former dual-weight UFC champion fight.
It’s currently unclear if he will be fit enough to fly to Las Vegas in a few weeks.
Thankfully, he seems to be feeling better already but he did suffer a very serious cardiac issue and will surely be advised by doctors to take it easy for the foreseeable future.
